How you can help Support the Colorado Rolling Rapids

Donate to Cover Team Expenses

Power soccer requires specialized and costly equipment. Unlike traditional sports, many parts wear out quickly due to the intensity of play, and replacements are expensive:

  • Batteries – $500 per pair
  • Tires – $300 per set
  • Footguards & Bumpers – $700 each
  • Motors – $1,000 each
  • New Wheelchairs – $11,000 each

Beyond equipment, our team faces additional expenses:

  • Tournament Fees – $300–$800 per event
  • Travel Costs – Up to $1,500 for one athlete and a family member/caregiver
  • Referee Fees – $2,000 for referee travel and officiating
  • Team Apparel – Jerseys and gear for competition
  • Gym Rentals – $40–$60 per hour

Every donation, big or small, helps remove financial barriers so athletes can focus on what they love—playing the game.

Volunteer Your Time

If financial support isn’t possible, giving your time is just as valuable. Volunteers keep our practices and events running smoothly. Opportunities include:

  • Shadow Players & Practice Support – Help athletes during training sessions
  • Ball Runners – Retrieve balls and keep practices flowing
  • Equipment Setup – Assist with setting up chairs, guards, and gear
  • Social Media & Outreach – Help us share our story and grow awareness
  • Event Help – Support at tournaments, fundraisers, or exhibitions
  • Therapy Support – Physical and occupational therapists can assist players during practices

Build the Future of Colorado Power Soccer

Because the nearest competitive teams are often hundreds of miles away, travel is a big part of our season. Until the program grows here in Colorado, we rely on generous supporters to help cover travel, tournament, and referee expenses. Your contribution helps ensure every athlete has the chance to compete at the highest level—including at Nationals in Fort Wayne, Indiana.

Partner with Us Through Sponsorship

The Colorado Rolling Rapids is more than just a team—we are a community that empowers athletes who use power wheelchairs to compete, grow, and inspire. Unlike most sports, power soccer requires specialized, costly equipment and significant travel for competition. Business sponsorships help us remove financial barriers so every athlete has the chance to compete at the highest level. Your sponsorship ensures that athletes can focus on the game; not the costs.

Ways Businesses Can Support

1. Financial Sponsorships
Help fund equipment, tournament travel, or referees. Sponsorship levels can be tailored, with opportunities for recognition on team jerseys, banners, social media, and event programs.

2. In-Kind Donations
Support the Rapids with equipment, transportation services, printing, apparel, or professional expertise.

3. Volunteer Partnerships
Encourage your employees to volunteer at practices, tournaments, or events. Corporate volunteer days are a great way to give back and see the impact firsthand.

4. Awareness & Promotion
Share our story within your networks. By helping us reach more families and supporters, you expand the future of power soccer in Colorado.
